What once was noble and chivalric about the chaos knights is now twisted instead towards selfish sadism and obsessive savagery. Their noble masters have degenerated into mutants bloated by dark favour, daemon-ridden husks of scorched meat, barbarous champions or sneering and spite-hearted autocrats. They ride out to ruin and despoil in the name of abominable ambition, revelling in the horrors of this apocalyptic age.
