In the blink of an eye, the crust of reality was torn open by the loathsome sorcery of the Skaven. Crooked towers of brass and warpstone thrust their way into the realms. From the rifts they opened in the earth, an endless flow of scab-furred abominations poured forth. Voices joined in shrieking union, this living tide swarmed across the lands, conquering all in the name of the Great Horned Rat. The Vermindoom had been unleashed, and the realms would forever be scarred.
